I thought that my page looked quite bare with just the image on the right so I wanted to create a 'shadow' to make it look 'fuller' and create more depth to the page.

I firstly duplicated the layer where my model was

then enlarged the new layer

then reduced the opacity 

Image/Adjustments/exposure

Increased the exposure and concentration
